How to Choose a Floor Protective Film

1. Measurement cutting

Cut the protective film according to the "actual size+5-10cm margin", with the margin used to cover the corners of the wall and splice overlaps.

FAQ

  • Q Which type of protection film is suitable for different floor materials?

    A
    • Wood flooring (solid/composite): Prioritize PE + EVA composite film (thickness ≥ 1.2mm). Lay a thin PE film first for isolation before installing the protection film to prevent direct contact between the tape and the floor finish.
    • Ceramic tiles/marble: Ordinary PE woven cloth film (thickness ≥ 1mm) is acceptable, no additional isolation needed. Focus on sealing the joints.
    • Cement rough floors: Choose thickened wear-resistant film (thickness ≥ 1.5mm). It is recommended to use double-sided cloth-based tape at the joints for enhanced compression resistance.
  • Q Will there be residual adhesive when removing the film after installation?

    A
    • High-quality cloth-based tape paired with qualified protection film will leave almost no residual adhesive when removed under normal use.
    • Residual adhesive usually occurs due to poor-quality tape, prolonged adhesion (more than 1 month), or oil stains on the floor. Wipe with an alcohol-soaked cloth; for stubborn residue, use citrus-scented adhesive remover.
    • For sensitive floors like wood flooring and polished tiles, test the tape's stickiness in a corner first to avoid using high-adhesion tape directly.
  • Q Can floor protection film be reused?

    A
    • It depends on the material and usage scenario. The PE woven cloth + EVA foam composite type can be reused 2-3 times if there is no damage and little adhesive residue (for light home decoration use).
    • Before reuse, clean dust and debris from the film surface and check for adhesive residue. If the adhesive layer's stickiness decreases, re-fix it with cloth-based tape.
    • Reuse is not recommended for engineering scenarios or if the film is damaged or torn, as it will lose its protective effect.
My factory has the PVC compound machine, rubber compoud water machine, hot melt adhesive composite machine,
laminating machine, printing machine and other advanced equipment at home and abroad, including cast film production line, can be 0.6-1.6 meters in length,
composite materials can supply different specifications, different requirements of product use.
